Non-Audio Opinions

My unboxing posts are pretty much the only times I’ll ever talk about build quality, accessories and the like. I’m not really the person to ask about these things as I don’t really care about them that much.

Accessories: cable and tips.

Cable: 8-core wire in a square braid. Very smooth and soft, highly ergonomic and pliable.

Connection: MMCX. Not the sturdiest MMCX I’ve handled before, but it passes.

Build: Feels solid though doesn’t inspire too much confidence. Some reports of durability issues have surfaced, so take that how you will.

Fit: Pseudo-custom. No issues for my ears and is very, very comfortable.

Initial impressions

  • Nice balanced signature, more of a mild V-shape than true neutral
  • Very good resolution, good transients, technically very proficient
  • Nothing wrong tonally, everything sounds as it should be
  • Above average staging and imaging capabilities
  • Upper mids can get a little intense; potentially sibilant for some
